TOLQというブランド名は、”企み”を示す単語”plot”からの造語。”plot”の文字を視点を変えることで”tolq”に変化する。それは「視点を変えて生まれるデザイン」というブランドの創作理念を表現している。
ブランドコンセプトはボーダレス。希少なヴィンテージプロダクトをトロンプルイユ(騙し絵)のような手法で転写したアイテムを展開し、人々の固定概念によって生じるリアルとフェイクの境界線を曖昧にする。

The brand name TOLQ was derived from the word "plot." It is a term which indicates a sense of "intrigue" or "design." The name TOLQ was created by altering the perspective of the word "plot" and transforming it, as if it were a mirror image of itself. It is an encapsulation of our brand's creative philosophy, which is "design birthed via a change of perspective."
Our brand concept is to be borderless. By developing items through the transposition of rare vintage products via trompe-l'oeil-like techniques, we blur the lines and boundaries between what is real and fake, notions generated by the preconceived, stereotypical views held by people.
